Since school starts in a couple of days,I'm gonna talk about my home team, the Center Grove Trojans. Yes, we begin a new season under seasoned veteran Coach Moore. With the new addition of the amazing Elliot Dutra, who ran for 2,000 yards last season alone!! Today, the Trojan JV and Freshman had a scrimmage. The imposing JV took control of the game and destroyed the Freshman offense and ruined the defense. Next week, the boys play Warren Central, who is ranked No. 1 in the country. And also with the talented offensive line-men Justin Wood and the spectacular Adam Hillis, yes I think we have a chance at a great season this year.

300 Wins

Yesterday night against the Chicago Cubs, Tom Glavine took the field. He worked hard for six innings, not allowing much, but this was no ordinary game. If he wins this game he is only the eleventh lefty to be in the pristine 300 win club. He won. He came out of the game in the 6th inning and spirits were high, however later on in the game, some bad pitching and stupid errors brought the Chicago Cubs in reach of upsetting the Mets. It was a rough few innings, but the Mets stood strong and Tom Glavine is now a definite Ballot leader for the MLB Hall of Fame. The last time this happened was in 1982. This maybe the last time a pitcher wins 300 because the rules and the game have changed so much. Now teams sit their pitchers more, because they are worth so much. Now I'm not like ESPN and saying that there will "Never be," but this is something we won't see for a long time.

Holyfield is back!!

In recent news famed and talented boxer Evander Holyfield, as reported by www.espn.com, is back and ready to face the Monster from Moscow Sultan Ibragimov. The original figth was between Ibragimov and Ruslan Chagaev. Just recently Chagaev withdrew from the fight because of "unknown stomach ailments." I don't know what the ailments were, but I'm so happy that Holyfield is fighting again. This is Holyfield's first fight since June 30th. He is also twelve years older than Ibragimov. If I was a betting man, which I am not, I would place my bets on Holyfield. He has been a powerhous for over 20 years and he's not about to quit. Every and all Americans should be behind Holyfield. The match date is sometime in October, but an actual date hasn't been made. I'll be watching, will you?

Written by,

Sportspig

Minnesota Twins Series On even after tragic accident

It's being said on www.espn.com and www.mlb.com, that the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians game is still on. I think they are doing the right thing by continuing on with the series. The accident that happened a few days ago left 4 dead, 60+ injured, and 20+ missing. The Minnesota organization and the MLB mad a tough, but good decision on the series. Doing this will show that no matter what happens the show must go on and that is the attitude the city needs right now. I can see why, but why not, this team has enough stability problems as it is and is Tom Couphlin still coaching there? I mean he's a great coach, but haven't they been losing since he got there, oh yeah they've been losing for a long stinkin' time. I think they need a whole new system to go in. They have so much talent on that team, but nobody steps up. I mean who's their leader, Strahan was. Who's gonna be the new leader Plexico Burress? That wouldn't be good and Eli is still crying about being under his Hall of Fame brother Peyton's shadow. This is another stupid move by the intelligent staff of the New York Giants. The great San Francisco 49ers coach Bill Walsh died. Bill was a man that invented the famed West Coast offense. He was a man that coached the greats like Joe Montana and created a dynasty that hasn't been rivaled since. Bill Walsh was a no-nonsense hard as nails guy, whom everyone respected and admired. Ever since his last game as a coach, the 49ers never recovered what they lost. For my first post as a blogger I have to talk about Michael Vick. This guy is not really smart, I mean he had so much money and anything he wanted, but he throws it away on the illegal sport of dog fighting. Now he is being charged as a crimminal and all of his endorsments are falling. I'm not saying he's guilty, but when the police find dog body parts buried in his backyard, I mean what do you say to defend yourself. Reebok, Upper deck, and Nike have all dropped his deals. It's like the Kobe Bryant scandal all over again, but this time the man in trouble doesn't look so innocent and plus this may be a good start for the falcons because they got a new coach and a new back up quarterback, now starter, Joey Harrington. This is a guy a team can build around, I mean with the talent on that offense with Warrick Dunn, L.J. Crumpler and many others they can actually follow one guy as a team leader and not a show off star.

The Soup
